Hello TripleWide Community! I know many of you are gearing up for this year’s Easter celebration and looking for ways to make it memorable. Today we will discuss how you can “Transform Easter,” by creating an environment with projection. Projection can be used to fully submerge a congregation in an environment and can enhance the visual worship experience. Moods, emotions, and thoughts can be steered towards the theme of a song or a season by engulfing people in powerful visuals. Paint the walls; create an experience. Let’s get right to the examples!

The Atmosphere

This beautiful image comes to us from Cody Thomas who has created a unique atmosphere with the use of environmental projection. How did he do it you ask? Cody used 2 balcony projectors with a DualHead2Go to run environmental projection on the walls. The cross stone-like wall created by EP and TWM content creates an awe-inspring atmosphere that points the congregation towards the powerful symbol of the cross. For the many of you who are Creative Directors at a Church or the tech person/volunteer in charge of making the visual media for the Easter season happen, I wanted to share a bit on some of the “images” that surround the Easter season. Today I’ll discuss five central images and offer a few examples of each.

1. The Cross.

There is no symbol more central to the Christian Church than the cross. The entire Christian faith is based upon this powerful image, and the Easter season reminds us of why the image carries so much weight. The cross represents Christ’s gift of love, His passion, His sacrifice, and His coming resurrection.

As we enter spring and warm weather approaches, the biggest event to happen for the majority of our community members is Easter! As we enter this incredible season, I thought it would only be fitting to share some thoughts on how we at TripleWide Media are doing everything we can to make this year’s Easter and spring season the best we can.

I sincerely hope you have enjoyed all of the Transform Christmas posts over the past few weeks. We would love to hear which post or posts were your favorite so far…. But don’t worry, there’s still a few more posts in store before Christmas.

As we were planning for TripleWide Christmas this year and what we would be sharing, we took a look back at last year to see what the most popular post was. Well it was 2011′s Transforming Christmas Before and After pictures.

So we called up our good friend Camron from Visual Worshiper. He’s a mastermind at projection, lighting, looks and such for the visual community as well as a great person to have walk you through the process of installing an Environmental Projection setup.
