Can anyone compete with Disney creatively? When Disney takes on a projection mapping project you can assume that it’s going to be incredible. In today’s Monday Mapping Disney projects Sulley from Monsters Inc on the 188ft tall Spaceship earth. If the sheer size of Spaceship Earth isn’t enough of a challenge, the structure is a sphere with a jagged surface. 8 35k projectors were used in a projection mapping display with few budget limitations. The purpose the fun presentation is to announce Disney park’s 3 days of all-nighters this May.
Good news everyone! We have a batch of new uploads from Visual Worshiper. It’s full of creative and artistic still images that can be used to create an atmosphere with environmental projection or used to create a multi-screen masterpiece.
We talk about creating an immersive environment with projection a lot here on the blog. Immersive projection can transport viewers into a whole other world and powerfully engage them in a visual experience. Well Microsoft’s IllumiRoom is taking that technology to the world of gaming. IllumiRoom uses a projector expand the game experience from the television to fill the entire room. Features abound and the environment around players can appear to rain, snow, or even take on a cartoon-like experience. You can choose for the system to only show certain elements (like gun fire) rather than display the entire video game world. Combining the visual and physical world is an incredible feat and much of the gaming community eagerly awaits the release of IllumiRoom. Apparently the system automatically and quickly calibrates to any new setting and the system can perform in any typical room or environment.
What’s new? What’s good? These are things you may ask a friend that you haven’t seen in a while. Well today we are going to answer both of those questions for you right here on the blog. Our very talented producers are constantly uploading awesome and new content. We wanted to take a second and highlight a few motion backgrounds that might help you create an immersive environment with projection. If you like to keep an eye on what’s being uploaded, just check out the “Recently Uploaded” section at the bottom of our home page. Here are few of our staff’s favorite new uploads.
Argyle Hills by Shift Worship
Usually when you see the word argyle it is referring to a sweater. In Argyle Hills the argyle pattern is a subtle touch that adds texture to a beautiful mountainous desert. This piece would be an excellent choice for environmental projection.

Do you know what Sunday is? If you don’t you might soon be in trouble. It’s Mother’s Day, and TripleWide Media has got all your Mother’s Day Media. It’s a day to say thanks for hugs given, feasts created, and wounds bandaged. Moms are a seemingly endless reservoir of sound advice and wisdom. So this Sunday let’s say “thanks.” O and is there any better way to express gratitude then with triplewide projection? Flowers, jewelry, chocolate? No way! Motion backgrounds, still images, and countdowns. Well, maybe some chocolates too. Here is some of our favorite Mother’s Day media.

Bonus credits are great. They feel like free money. It’s like when you find a $10 bill in the pocket of those jeans you haven’t worn in a while. It’s like that unexpected Happy Valentines Day card from grandma with a five dollar bill tucked inside (with love). If you are familiar with our credit system then you know the more credits you buy, the more bonus credits you get. Typically when you purchase a package of 120 credits you receive 7 bonus credits. While 7 free credits is fun, it hardly constitutes a bonanza. For this week only all 120 credits packages come with 20 bonus credits. That’s a lot of bonus credits. It’s like if every one of your fingers and every one of your toes were a bonus credit. Nice, right?
For those of you that hate to read here’s my gift to you!
If you’d like to snag your 120 credit package then click here. O and you’re not limited to one purchase!
Do you find it hard to select content by viewing just a preview or thumbnail? It can certainly be difficult. It takes a little imagination to envision what it might look like on your walls and screens, so today I wanted to share some pictures of our content being used by our community. The SlideShare below may open you up to some new ideas, concepts and types of media because sometimes the thumbnail just doesn’t do the content justice. The motion background or still will be displayed on its own and then showcased in action. The truth is, if you don’t know exactly what to look for, you might just pass up that perfect environmental projection of multi-screen piece. Enjoy!
Today’s incredible feat of multi-screen projection comes to us from James Norden of the Colourful Church. Every year the Jesus Army (United Kingdom) gathers for a huge event in Sheffield. Last year’s event was simply titled Sheffield 2012, but the visuals were anything but simple. Before going into any further detail let’s take a look at the finished product.
Pretty incredible right? Well “how would one create such a masterpiece” is the obvious next question. (more…)
It’s Monday. You are probably sitting at your desk in disbelief that the weekend is over. Flies by doesn’t it? Well you can always count on us for some Monday morning projection mapping to distract you from that inbox anxiety. Today’s video comes to us from Coca-Cola Poland and I’m not going to lie to you…it’s weird. Although I’m not sure this video inspires me to pick Coke over Pepsi (that’s because it taste better), it does confuse and amaze me. So here’s our Monday morning prescription: sit back, pop open a coke, and hit play.
